I need this so bad, Sayuri thought. It was around midnight, Saya's usual get-coffe-then-crash-an-hour-later time, and that was exactly what she had in mind. Usually she ducked in and ducked out with her iced mocha, extra whipped cream and just a hint of caramel, but tonight she was in the mood for something different. A change for the better, as her mom would put it. Maybe something to get her all fired up on sugar rather than caffiene. Yes, that seemed like a good idea to Sayuri.
"One large M'n'M McFlurry," Saya told the sleepy looking guy at the register. Drowsily, he punched in the order and asked for her money, which Sayuri then gave to him. After recieving both change and her ice cream, she tipped the guy (very stingily, I might say, as she only put in five cents) and went to sit in the corner. She was always drawn to corners, mostly because she was used to people ignoring her. They always seemed to ignore the girl in the corner. At Ouran Academy, that always seemed to be her.
The place was empty, except for the sleepy guy behind the cash register and the middle aged woman working the drive-thru. That woman seemed too peppy for that time of the night, which made Sayuri wonder quite sarcastically to herself, "Whatever did she put on her pancakes this morning?" She took a heaping spoonful of the ice cream, which woke her up quite a bit. Lonely. That's what she was. She hoped her sugar high would come soon, only because she was looking forward to the crash.
