Though Haruhi was dragged out of the graveyard, she was the one that led them to the grocery store. She had her wallet in her back pocket with the food money, glad she had brought it with her. The last thing she wanted to do was go home with Hikaru at her side, just waiting to get inside her house. Again. Maybe this time she could lose him on the way home. No...he'd find her anyways.
As they walked into the store, the doors slid open automatically and she grabbed a basket. Following her usual rutine (sp?) here -as if Hikaru wasn't accompanying her here- and began to walk up and down the asiles. She hoped Hikaru wouldn't cause too much trouble, acting like a little kid and wanting to buy everything that he saw. Espeically if that meant "trying commoners food". God that was annoying. Or maybe Tamaki just made it annoying.
She grabbed things she saw that she needed. Bread, milk, eggs. All the nessisary foods. Then some lunch items to make a boxed lunch with for the next week's lunches for school.
She didn't bother to look behind and see if Hikaru was doing ok. If she didn't hear any trouble coming from his mouth then it probably wasn't worth worrying about. Now, back to food, she began to think to herself if she wanted to spend the money to make a cake or some other type of desert. Or maybe she didn't want one. She already had all the sweets she wanted at the Host Club, but did her dad want a nice desert...?

Hikaru was literally bouncing off the walls once they entered the grocery store. There were so many things he wanted to buy! He checked out just about everything looking at each item like it were some rare treasure. While he was obviously enjoying himself, the other customers seemed a little confused by the whole ordeal. He didn't really notice though.
He grabbed a cart and began running about the store, tossing anything that seemed interesting in. It wasn't like he couldn't afford it anyway.
He almost forgot about Haruhi till he noticed some tuna. Not fancy either. But it still looked appetizing and he was really getting hungry. His stomach growled loudly, proving it. He forgotten to eat earlier, too worried about Kaoru. But now he was starting to realize it.
The little devil caught sight of Haruhi and ran to her side, looking down at the basket she held and scanning through it's contents. "So... What are we having?" He couldn't really make it out. He never cooked and was simply served his food so he wasn't quite sure how the process was. He hoped it was quick though. He wasn't sure he could hold out any longer.

The first thing Haruhi seemed to noticed went Hikaru came running back to her side was the cart he was carrying. She wasn't suprised, though the first thing that came to mind for her was: he could afford it. He could afford this whole store, if he wanted, lowering the prices just for her, which she thought was stupid. She could afford the regular prices and the extra stuff didn't alway appel to her.
When he asked her what they were having, she stood there a bit confused. We? Then, hearing a small growl from his stomach, she understood. Like the first time they all visited her house, Hunny-senpai managed to get her to cook for everyone. They all just wanted to taste her cooking. She wasn't great like some amazing super chef, but to these guys -who had never cooked in their lives- she might had as well been. So Hikaru just wanted her cooking again.
She sighed. Not that she didn't like cooking but who wanted to make a huge meal every night? That was why she had a sandwich for lunch with her mother. But it seemed he wanted something to eat. Why couldn't he just go off to one of his fancy resturants and eat there? She wouldn't mind. But he probably would. To the twins, she was their "toy".
"I'm not feeling all that hungry," she said. "Why don't you pick something out?" she asked, continueing on with picking up foods she needed for home while she wondered what he had in his cart. He seemed to have everything in there except the store.

He looked around for more items as he waited for the answer. He loved her cooking and hoped that whatever she had in mind would be the best she ever made! Then he could rub it in the other hosts faces. He enjoyed doing that. It was good to feel on top. And whoever was in Haruhi's favor was usually the popular one.
When she asked him to pick something out, he stopped and considered it. He never really got his choice in the food they ate either. Just given what was on the menu. So this was new to him. He looked in his cart for something but wasn't sure what to choose. All of it sounded good. "Uh...."
He continued looking through but still couldn't make up his mind. "I was thinking about just ordering some fancy tuna but since your not hungry, I don't know now..." He walked up next to her and watched as she grabbed more food. "How about chef's choice?"
Hikaru kept tossing stuff in, almost getting just about everything in the store and till the cart began to over fill and even got a little harder to push. Maybe he should have watched how much stuff he was grabbing. Oh well. Too late to regret it now. He could probably call up some servants to pick it up. He'd do it when they were about to leave.

Well, it really seemed Hikaru was out for some fancy tun, today. Or maybe it was just her being with him that made him set his sights on fancy tuna. The hosts alwasys wanted to do stuff with her, or give her tons of things she doesn't need. They were awfully genorous to her, but she wasn't the one that needed their charioty. There were people worse off than she was. Why couldn't they give their money to them instead?
When Hikaru asked for the chef's choice, she began to think. Usually she just made whatever. She didn't care much about the food, just making it. It gave her something to do and she felt like she connected with her mother every time she did cook using her mothers recipe book.
"How about rice curry?" she asked. She was sure there was a recipe for rice curry at the house and she had all the indegriedents at home. She just needed a few fresh vegitables to cook it with. A potatoe or two and a few carrots. She was pretty sure that she had an onion at home already and maybe she could substitute the pork for chicken. They had some left over chicken breast that she could use.
Then she noticed how much stuff was in Hikaru's cart. Sure, this was new to him, but did he need all of that? Besides, they walked here. How was her going to carry all of that? After a thought or two, she remembered that most rich people had servants. He'd just have them pick it up and take it back to her place while they walked back to her place. Stupid rich people...
She kept walking until she reached the fresh produce area and looked for the food she needed there. Surely Hikaru wouldn't get excited over this. It was just produce, not some cheap manufactured junkfood.
